The Colonists
From Permafrost Wiki
The colonist is your minion. The player is in control of several colonist which you need to take care of.
You will assign each of these colonists to different tasks, from harvesting, to hunting and capturing towers.
The colonists can die if they don't have food in their inventories. Having no colonists means that you cannot build any more buildings, harvest any food, defend your base and capture any towers.
Non-Playable Characters
From Permafrost Wiki
A non-player character (NPC) is any character in a game which is not controlled by a player.
The term originated in traditional tabletop role-playing games, where it applies to characters controlled by the gamemaster or referee, rather than another player. In video games, this usually means a character controlled by the computer via algorithmic, predetermined or responsive behaviour, but not necessarily true artificial intelligence.
Bear
The bear is one of the common enemies found in the game. They roam around the environment and attack the colonists when they get too close.
Max HP: 300
Attack Power: 10
Loot: Leather, food
Robot Titan
The Robot Titan is the main defensive unit of the AI turrets. Their size makes them extremely hard to take down. They usually take time to charge an attack, however their electrical attack should not be underestimated as it can do random damage which could be lethal!
Max HP: 500
Attack Power: 12-30
Loot: Machine parts
Rogue Robot
Rogue robots are smaller and more mobile units of the AI offensive army. They tend to randomly invade player's turrets and usually attack in groups. Their high attack speed compensates for their relatively low damage. So be careful as they will freeze your colonists in no time.
Max HP: 500
Attack Power: 1-6
Loot: Robot Core
*Note: Upon death, core can be extracted from the robot. However, the process is very delicate as the core could cause a random explosion that might result in colonist's death!
Bandit
Since the world economy was destroyed, a lot of people had to survive on their own. This created a lot of people attacking each other for resources. In this world everything is hostile, even other humans! It is up to you to decide if they deserve mercy or not.
Max HP: 500
Attack Power: 10
Loot: food, axe, coat
*Note: Defeated bandits can be spared! If you spare a bandit, he is added to your colonists!
Rabbit

The rabbit is one of the passive NPCs which can be hunted by the colonists in order to harvest food!
Rabbits have a 4 food drop rate

Permafrost has a variety of buildings with different uses. Colonist can interact with these buildings to trigger events such as the Defence Towers or buildings such as the Work Bench can be used for crafting items to further progress in the game and the Farms which are used to gather Food
Camp Fire
The camp fire is used by the player in order to keep their colonists warm outside the main base. It has a small range and provides small amounts of heath to the nearby colonists within its range. The player will have to fuel the campfire using wood
It can be crafted with 2 wood and 1 fibre using the Workbench
Farm
The farms are used to gather food by the colonist. The player can assign 1 colonist per farm. To interact with the farms, the player will have to select a colonist and use the cursor to select the farm in order to plant on the Farm, and then after some time to harvest the food.
Colonists can harvest about 30 food per harvest

The workbench can be used by the player in order to craft different items which are needed to further progress in the game. The player will have to select a colonist and afterwards use the cursor to select a workbench from which a menu with items that can be crafted, will appear. Items such as a Pickaxe or weapons such as a Basic Rifle can be crafted.
Storage Barrel
Storage Barrels are used to store resources and items that the colonist have on them, in order for other colonist to pick up and use those items and resources.
The storage barrel has a infinite storage capacity for one item type and can be crafted with 4 stone and 8 wood wood using a workbench
Tower
Defence Towners are placed in different areas of the map. These towers are controlled by the Evil A.I which also control the robots that will attack the colonists if they are either, in the range of the tower, or in their aggro range. The objective is to capture as many towers from the Evil A.I by killing all the enemies around the tower and finally by selecting a colonist and selecting the Capture option when selecting the tower!
The tower will then change its light color from a Light Blue to Orange when successfully captured by the colonist making that part of the map safe from robots
